Mission Statement:
The mission of the Lowe Library Media Center is to create a community of lifelong learners.
Information literacy - the ability to find and use information - is the keystone to lifelong learning. Students will be nurtured in their development as they acquire the skills they will need to harness and use information for a productive and fulfilling life.
Reading Literacy- the ability to find the books for leisure is an elementary skill which is nurtured in the library as students become stronger readers and well rounded readers of literature.

Objectives:
- To help students develop skills for exploring the wealth of information in both print and electronic resources, including the Internet.
- To provide a wide selection of books and other materials for leisure reading.
- To collaborate with classroom teachers in developing experiences that will support their learning goals for their students.
- To provide up-to-date resources and equipment to enhance these classroom learning goals.
- To provide a warm, supportive environment for students and teachers where they will feel comfortable going to any staff member regardless of what is needed.
