The fifth graders pondered this very question while they read a historical fiction book based on a time period/event in United States history. They created a virtual/electronic museum to share what they learned about the literary elements of historical fiction from the story, the historical facts they uncovered in the story, and their research to prove if the historical facts about the event/time period in the story really happened in history. We hope you will learned a little about United History as you take a tour of their virtual museums. The students also created an artifact to represent how history connects to their book. You can view the artifacts (replicas) students created to display in our library in the pictures below.
