Your group will study photographs/paintings depicting people in America whose lives were affected by major events in US history.  Each team is to decide on a different period of history and find a relevant photo or painting depicting a major historical event of the time period.  After studying the picture/photo, the group will research the event. 

As a final project each member will tell the story in the picture  by forming a living picture.  Each group member will chose a person in the picture and “step out” of the picture to give information about the people, the person’s point of view, the historical event depicted and other events connected to the historical event in the photo/painting.
